Reggae Site – Live and DJ performances
Lively Reggae music played by Soundsystem (group of DJ’s). The best reggae group
in the genre will play during early evening hours.

Block Party Site
Bat-Yam will host a three-day block party, in the best Hip Hop tradition, four
elements of black music: DJ, Break-dance, Graffiti and Rap will lead a lively, joyful
street happening.
During the street party, a National Break-dance Contest will be held. It will present
talented youths from this popular urban genre. For those interested, break-dance
workshops will be held for the public during the day, as well as performances by
professional break-dance artists: Peled & Ortega, Lukatch and others. The DJ station
will be manned by Mash – Israel’s champion DJ.
DJ Pipe, who teaches recording at the Music School, will join with others in
teaching free-style.

Musical Path
Boisterous, joyful street ambience with troupes from various artistic fields. A wide
array of street performances such as: jazz troupes, Caribbean music, folk music,
Kleizmer music, and many more. They will be located near various coffee shops,
entertain passers-by and invite them to dance.

Extreme Sports Site
Ramps and rails will be set up on the basketball court near the Bat-Yam Museum, for
the benefit of skateboarders, roller skaters and all other urban Extreme Sports.
Skateboarding demonstrations will take place throughout the day.

Folklore Site
Three-day international musical marathon. An exciting encounter of communities and
ethnic groups, representing the cultural abundance of Israeli culture. Performances
will include a Moldavian singer from Beersheva, a Ukranian singer from Holon, a
Yiddish singer from Netanya, an Italian-French singer from Jerusalem, a French
singer from Rishon Letzion and Israeli folk-singing.
